I am a photographer and writer living in, and loving, the city of New Orleans since 2007, but my journey has been a bit nomadic. At various times, I’ve called Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Prague and London home, not to mention a few small towns in the great midwest. I’ve travelled abroad in Europe, South America, the Caribbean and North Africa, and I’ve been to all 50 states. I love road trips, and everywhere I go, I revel in capturing the essence of the local, the majesty of geography, the details.

I shoot mostly in digital but I love playing with many formats, such as instant photography, non-camera experiments and old-school film photography, from which I work out of my studio darkroom. I own a comically-unnecessary number of vintage and toy cameras, and I love to use them all.

If I’m not making images, I enjoy gardening, playing guitar, biking around this amazing city and listening to live music. I live in the historic Bywater neighborhood a stone’s throw from the mighty Mississippi and sometimes it seems like you can feel the flow of it in your bones.
